If you’re someone who thrives on solving complex challenges, loves working with high-impact systems, and enjoys guiding a talented engineering team to deliver great results - this role is for you. As our Tech Lead, you’ll have a direct influence on architecture decisions, development standards, and the overall technical excellence of the Zeus Team.
What you will do:
lead the technical direction of the Zeus Team from architecture design to delivery;
collaborate with Product Owners, Engineering Managers, and Solution Architects to shape the future of our energy trading and flexibility systems;
design and implement robust, secure, and maintainable software solutions for real-time data flows and market integrations;
mentor and support team members, fostering knowledge sharing and best engineering practices;
drive improvements in performance, reliability, and deployment processes;
contribute hands-on to development, code reviews, and system design.
What we are looking for:
strong background in software engineering, architecture, or DevOps;
strong experience with C#/.NET core (or other languages but willing to switch to C#);
strong experience with relational databases such as PostgreSQL or MSSQL;
solid understanding of event-driven systems and streaming platforms, including Kafka, and WebSockets;
familiarity with microservices, containerization (Docker, Kubernetes), and CI/CD pipelines;
a proactive and collaborative mindset with the ability to translate business needs into technical solutions;
cultural fit: values clarity, collaboration, curiosity, and mentorship, enjoys helping teams grow and thrives in a learning-focused environment;
willingness to take full operational ownership, including system monitoring, reliability, incident management, and 24/7 on-call rotation;
bonus: Understanding of data lakehouse architectures (e.g., Apache Iceberg, Starburst, medallion architecture) is a plus.
